Goals of the Lifeline Peer Project

  •  To increase the availability of evidence-based substance use disorder recovery programs such as, but not limited to, Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
  • To decrease the number and frequency of relapses experienced by individuals recovering from substance dependency
  • To strengthen capacity and infrastructure at the state, regional, and community levels in support of substance use recovery services

Lifeliners also facilitate access to treatment and recovery supports within varying communities by:

  •  Introducing faith-based partners as a resource for wrap around services and a part of the continuum of care for individuals who are justice involved
  • Working with the Faith-Based Community Coordinators to help faith-based partners setup and host recovery support groups
  • Providing support, when necessary, to the Criminal Justice Behavioral Health Liaisons and their work with Recovery Courts
  • Providing recovery focused trainings to reduce the stigma of mental health challenges and substance use disorders in their community

There are 10 Lifeline coordinators serving regions state wide and 10 hybrid Lifeline coordinators focusing on rural, distressed counties.  The map below includes the locations of the Lifeline Coordinators along with their direct contact information.

Hybrid Lifeline Peer Project

In collaboration with the Department of Human Services, TDMHSAS and our community partners are proud to offer Lifeliners who focus exclusively on rural distressed counties and serve people eligible for TANF and SNAP.  You can find the Hybrid Lifeliner contact information on the documents above, and you can learn more about the program in the following video.
