2024 Tennessee Educator Survey

The Tennessee Educator Survey (TES) is an essential annual survey used to understand the experience of educators across Tennessee. Each year, the department and Tennessee Education Research Alliance at Vanderbilt University (TERA) gather this information to empower stakeholders and decision-makers across the state to better meet the needs of teachers. Over 44,000 educators participated in this year’s survey. Learn more about the 2024 Tennessee Educator Survey through the Tennessee Educator Survey 2024 Overview and website.

The 2024 survey was open from April 2nd to May 3rd, 2024.  Districts and schools with at least a 45% participation rate received aggregate results from the survey to inform decisions at the local level. Six schools that reached 90% overall participation by the end of the survey window were awarded a staff appreciation grant of $5,000.
