What is the capacity for environmental education to contribute to a more sustainable planet and society? Why is EE a meaningful complement to standard education? How do we demonstrate the evidence-based outcomes of EE without letting go of the passion and fervor that breathes energy and life into the field? eeWORKS is a project that seeks to answer these critical questions. Guided by an expert advisory board, NAAEE is partnering with Stanford University and other organizations to demonstrate the impact and value of environmental education. We are conducting comprehensive literature reviews that demonstrate the impact of EE on key environmental and social outcomes and translating our findings into communication tools to benefit the field. In short, we are substantiating powerful anecdotes from across the field with empirical evidence.
