Vehicle Inspection Program Has Ended

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) announced August 17, 2021 that emissions testing in several Tennessee counties will end on January 14, 2022 now that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a revision to the state’s air quality plan.  As of January 14, 2022, residents in Hamilton, Williamson, Rutherford, Sumner, and Wilson counties may now register or renew their registration without an emissions testing certificate.
