Certifications

Tennessee law provides incentives for investment in pollution control equipment that mitigates pollution generated by regular business activities and for facilities which produce electricity for use and consumption off the premises using clean energy technology. The Office of Sustainable Practices is responsible for overseeing the process used to certify such equipment and facilities by receiving applications, reviewing and verifying application information, and returning certification to the applicant and other appropriate parties. Please visit the Pollution Control Equipment Certification and Green Energy Production Facility Certification pages for additional information regarding these tax-based incentives.
