Grants Administration

It is with great excitement that we announce grant funding for FY24 for counties and municipalities across the State who continue to strive for better conditions for their citizens, related to recycling and waste needs. TDEC is dedicated to assisting the State to improve recycling and reduce waste being deposited into landfills.

The Materials Management Program has recently awarded the following:        

• 12 Recycling Equipment Grants
• 10 Used Automotive Fluid Recycling Grants
• Nine (9) Recycling Rebates
• Eight (8) Convenience Center Grants
• Two (2) Household Hazardous Waste Grants
• Special Project, Solid Waste Plans
• Special Project, Waste Characterization Study

The following grant(s) will be available for application tentatively on June 1, 2023, and will close on June 30, 2023, at 4:30pm CST:

• Convenience Center Grant
• Used Automotive Recycling Fluid Grant

The following grant(s) will be available for application tentatively on September 1, 2023, and will close on September 30, 2023, at 4:30pm CST: 

• Recycling Equipment Grant
• Household Hazardous Waste Grant
• Recycling Rebate

Please continue to access the Grants Management System (GMS) online portal for the most updated information.
