Lance Jenkins is the 7th Command Chief Warrant Officer for the Tennessee Army National Guard headquartered in Nashville, TN, and was appointed to his current position in April 2024. He has 35 years of service in the National Guard.

CW5 Jenkins started his career in 1989 by enlisting in the Tennessee Army National Guard as an M60A3 Crewman. His units of assignment include B Company and D Company 3/109th AR Battalion, Detachment 1 771st Maintenance Company, 779th Maintenance Company, Recruiting & Retention Battalion, and Joint Forces HQs.

In March 2005, he was promoted to WO1 and deployed to Iraq with the 779th Maintenance Company as their Supply Systems Tech, returning in 2006 to his civilian logistics management position. In 2007 he returned to the fulltime National Guard work force. His assignments include Warrant Officer Strength Manager, Deputy AGR Manager, Enlisted Personnel Branch Chief, Deputy Director J9, and G4 CSDP Program Manager. 

CW5 Jenkins has served on the Board of Directors for the National Guard Association of the United States, Middle Region Warrant Officer representative for the National Guard Association of Tennessee, and Treasurer for the Volunteer Chapter of the United States Army Warrant Officer Association.

CW5 Jenkins’ military awards and decorations include the Order of the Eagle Rising, 2 Meritorious Service Medals, 3 Army Commendation Medals, Air and Space Commendation Medal and the Navy Unit Commendation.

CW5 Jenkins and his wife Heidi reside in Gallatin, TN. They have five lovely daughters, two sons-in law, and three grandchildren.
