Other Subjects

The State Board of Education conducts a formal, legislatively required review process for the Tennessee academic standards in English language arts, math, science, and social studies. All other subjects must also be approved by the State Board on a six-year cycle; however, the Tennessee Department of Education establishes and conducts the review process for those subjects.
