UPDATE: THE SEPTEMBER 4 MEETING OF THE ELEVATOR AND AMUSEMENT DEVICE SAFETY BOARD HAS BEEN CANCELED.

NEW MEETING DATE: The State Workforce Development Board is now scheduled to meet on Friday, September 6, 2024, with the full board meeting from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m. (CDT) in Nashville, TN.

The Medical Advisory Committee assists the administrator in the development of the treatment guidelines and advises the administrator on issues relating to medical care in the workers’ compensation system. The committee is comprised of practitioners in the medical community having experience in the treatment of workers’ compensation injuries, representatives of the insurance industry, employer representatives, and employee representatives.

The Board of Boiler Rules is scheduled to meet for its quarterly meeting at 9 a.m. CDT on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee.

A One-Stop Job & Resource Fair will be held at the American Job Center in Knoxville on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT.

A Multi-County Veteran Resource Fair will be held in Lenoir City, Tennessee, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. EDT.

The Prevailing Wage Commission meeting has been rescheduled. It will now be held on September 17, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. CDT.

The Tennessee Apprenticeship Council (TAC) is scheduled to meet at the TN Department of Labor and Workforce Development on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (CDT), in Nashville, TN.

A Resource & Job Fair organized by the American Job Center will be held Monday, September 23, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT in Maryville, Tennessee.

This training teaches case managers how they can help injured workers best utilize the resources, funds, and expertise of the Next Step Program.
